MMR Fourth Grade - Mrs. Higgins and Mrs. Baker

What a week!
Mrs. Franks sent lesson plans for your children to complete while our PREP classes are not in session due to the coronavirus.
Our last two lessons for the month of March included the Beatitudes and the Ten Commandments. Both are wonderful lessons that can spark great discussions with your children. Last week Peyton S. and Finn H. will share their saints. Thank you Finn H. for sharing Philly Pretzels with the class to remind us that St. John Neumann was a Bishop in Philadelphia! We discussed the topics of free will, intellect, vices, virtues, and graces. I love how God works through the minds and hearts of your children!!
I pray that everyone stays well and safe throughout this trying time in our world. We will revisit our game plan for the rest of the PREP year as the next several weeks unfold. Unfortunately, we still did not hear about Christian, Jude, Michael and Luke's saints. I hope we will be able to learn about them when we meet again!
If you need to contact me my email address is joannehigg15@gmail.com and my phone number is 215-565-6239.
Thank you for allowing us to share OUR FAITH with your precious children!!
Fourth Grade PREP
Wednesday Evening Class Saint Project
Each Student will be assigned one of the saints that are displayed in or around Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church and a few extra I have added.
The first part of t he project was handed in. The second part of the project will be presenting the saint to the class. On the assigned evening, in addition to sharing the information learned about the saint, include a drawing, collage, or anything creative to help us remember your saint. For example, St. Katherine Drexel was born in Philadelphia, so you could make a collage of pictures of Philadelphia, or draw a picture symbolizing the Native and African Americans she worked with or even bring in Philly pretzels for everyone to share to remind us of where she lived. Students will present their saints to the class each week.
- March 18 - Christian and Jude
- March 25 - Michael and Luke
